LifeFuel A Thread for Books

As for my own condition of hearing a voices in my head there are no words in the dictionary that any kind of therapist could say that will ever change the terrible behavior of these voices.
It's child-like voices that wants its own way all of the time and is purely selfish, they refuses to behave and most of what it says is negative and hateful either aimed at myself or other people. in the past years it has said nothing of any value so my policy is to ignore it as much as possible and exclude it from my life.

Forgive me, Leonard Peacock. Has incel undertones

reading books is semitism

My mom had the book 'How To Talk So Kids Will Listen & Listen So Kids Will Talk', learnt nothing from it. On the back, there were 2 comics. Daughter said her turtle died and in one father reacted badly and in the other well. One of the things father said was 'Don't cry, it was just a turtle.' At 20, I told my parents, mother's psychologist and mine, who was also therapist, how at 13 my family and school caused me to have a mental breakdown which resulted in my not taking care of my guinea pig. And all 4 of them told me rodents just die. Next to the comics about dead turtle was a text: 'Instead of denying emotions, name them.' I wish I could travel back in time to that meeting and hit all 4 of those morons with that book.

This thread is to discuss books: Either those you have read, will read, wish to read, or recommend others to read.

“Mein Kampf” by Adolf Hitler

Last book i read was called' Near Death Experiences of Suicide Survivors' by John J Graden. I have read other books about NDEs but this one is a collection of accounts specifically from very depressed people who took that final step but survived. It relates to me because when i tried to rope in the Mental Hospital i did die but those faggot nurses revived me .
I have found now living life now means i am heading for a fate worse than i could ever imagine .
Medication Madness by Peter Breggin, a psychiatrist is worth a read .... He has written extensively on the potential dangers of psychiatric medications. In his book MM he explores how these drugs can lead to severe behavioral reactions , including violence , suicide and emotional
breakdowns.. Breggin introduces the concept of '' medication spellbinding '' where individuals taking psychiatric drugs may not realize their mental state is deteriorating and may believe they are functioning better than they are .
He argues that psychatric drugs can impair judgement and self - awareness leading to harmful behaviors without the individual recognizing the
drug's role in these changes . Breggins work is a cautionary tale about the over - reliance on psychiatric medications and highlights the importance of being aware of their potential adverse effects .
Dr Chris Palmer ... He's written a book called Brain Energy, because he's convinced mental illnesses are actually metabolic ones and that they arise from faulty mitochondria. These are known as the 'power houses' of cells), as they are involved in energy production at a cellular level. He says some new and interesting things. His approach is as much body-centred as it is psychological: he's 'cured' people with bipolar and schizophrenia by giving them a specific low-carb diet: they have returned to stability and stayed there - in many cases, permanently. He presents case studies he's worked with, including an elderly woman with schizophrenia who, after treating with the diet, returned to health and remained well for years, despite coming off her medication (with his supervision of course, and slowly).
I find him intriguing but others may not be sold on his philosophy. I'd be interested to hear what anyone thinks.
Really interesting stuff I will look into it

Anyone into fantasy novels? Recommend me something high fantasy, preferrably without le strong women, faggots, troons, shitskins, etc. I can tolerate a random "strong" foid here and there, as long as she is not a total man hating butch. Faggots and troons are totally unacceptable. Also no single female MC. Expect that I'm familiar with most mainstream fantasy authors and want something little less known

Notes from the underground by Fiodor Dostoyevski

Read Let the right one in.
Very good book.

One book I recommend is A Mote In God's Eye by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle. It is a classic science fiction book that came out in the 1970's.

It is about a first-contact situation with a race of extraterrestrials called "Moties" as their planet is known as Mote Prime to humans. Moties are asymmetrical mammaloid creatures that have different genetic subcastes as each is specialized for a very specific role. While moties do not have a hive mind, each motie is instinctively-obedient as well as descended from a "master" motie.

Unfortunately, moties are cursed with an evolutionary problem in that a female motie must breed or she will eventually die from her hormones wreaking havock on her body during heat, much like what happens with female ferrets in real life. Because of this, motie civilization is caught in an endless cycle of growth/technological development, resource wars, and then population collapse, only for it to start back up again as the surviving moties start reproducing. While moties view these endless cycles as being inevitable, they have built special "museums" in order to speed up technological development after each collapse.

Moties are not hostile to humans when they meet them but neither humans nor moties understand each other very well, and because of the motie need to reproduce, humanity sees them as potentially-dangerous.

Excerpt

Mael was straight up not having a good time. Everyone on the street was staring at them. They had their hair done in braids, their face prettied up by abundant make up, they were wearing a trilby, sunglasses and a nuptial dress and they openly carried a laser gun they had stolen from the car they had taken (it had an armory like any mercenary car). The combination of the frilly dress and the huge rifle carried on the strap made them look both silly and unnerving at the same time. Mael stopped walking.

-Why did I agree to this again?

Fujiko, disguised with a lumberjack shirt and overalls, kept walking with her children, both holding her hands. She deliberately dropped a coin, then bent over to pick it up right next to Mael. She told them:

-Your wings get in the way of disguise. So I suggested going full drag queen since you’re going to turn heads anyway. It’s not like these Christian men are going to kill you over you mocking their religion. Everything will be just fine!

She also fiddled with her wallet so as to make the stop not suspicious. Then she took her boys’ hands again and walked away.
