Depending on sources, US men's average height is about 5'9-5'10, for decades.

But in Idiocracy movie (2006), it is said at the beginning that the main character is "extremely average in every category".

And later, his ID mentions a height of 6'0".

(Note that the actor's actual height is 5'11¼".)

6ft is the perceived average, that means below-average men (aka manlets) are merely unseen. Never began.
