Its hit or miss imo. Some arcs are really good, other are absolute shit.
 
Great anime. Late Chimera Ant arc was pure kino, Greed Island arc too.
 
It seems super bluepilled for the first 40 minutes. Water, I suppose.

The blonde character is a male? OvER for me, I thought he was a foid.
 
The anime is vERy bluepilled, but the characters are very relatable, so I stick with it.

Never watched it, but since it's a shounen, I can almost guarantee this is the case.
 
With all due respect - I understand why, "Hunter x Hunter," nevER became a hit in the United States - it's far too bluepilled, Americans like violence.
 
I never could get into cartoons. I had enough IRL violence in my life, I don't need cartoon violence.

I think I still have the screenshot I took of the farewell letter the writer wrote to readers. I will post it later.

TLDR: the creator of “Hunter x Hunter” is very sick, his illness has left him unable to work, so “Hunter x Hunter” is on hiatus.

The artwork is magnificent, but the story is full of “fail-upwards-moments” that I hate.

I understand why “Hunter x Hunter” has a cult-like following, the story is like an anime Hunger Games, humans hunting humans.

I'm rewatching the chimera ants arc right now actually.

I've watched the anime a couple of times, but I'm thinking about reading the manga because the new arc is very good I've heard.

yh been like that for years unfortunately, but he has been posting chapters again this year
