Most video game reviews can be summarized within 10-30 minutes. If it's 40 minutes+ it's probably going to be pseudo intellectual nitpicking (Matthewmatosis being a good example) and/or them summarizing the entire game with occasional criticisms and jokes. (synthetic man.)

For whatever reason this kind of slop is extremely popular. Probably as background noise. Anyways, I can't stand it. It's more impressive being able to share your thoughts and criticisms in a timely manner than it is stretching them out and repeating statements for the sake of appearing smarter. (Although ad revenue is probably the most prominent motive.)

I remember when game reviews were straight to the point and only about 8-10 minutes

I'm not watching reviews, only lets play with 0 commentary

This was before the YouTube algorithm started encouraging longer content. Now these YouTubers will waste as much of your time as possible so they can fill their videos with ads.

A wiser choice in all honesty.

Only time I watched game reviews is to have noise in background when I was playing something:lul:

Indeed

Midwits think the longest the review the best it is, when most can be said in 5 minutes

Matthew didn't not like elden ring difficulty so other reviewr copy him and complain about elden ring difficulty like feeble king who does not like trail and error then went out to make a dmc 5 a game that is peak trail and error

There's usually very little consistency with these YouTube reviewers. They're like women whose minds are factory reset a week after they make their videos. I can't take Feeble King seriously after he praised Metaphor for having an amazing story while making multiple videos trashing wokeness. It would be OK to state that you're fine with these political identity themes when they're subtle or "well written," but to pretend like they don't exist makes you look like a retard.

They like washing word salad down their ears so they can feel smart.

Same. Although, I tend to leave the video after a bit after they say something retarded.

What triggers me more then anything is that they are keep on talking about the most obvious bs or explain every fucking plot point as if 90% of the viewers aren't already more then familiar with the narrative

Recent Jewish ads on YT, almost made me stop watching it for good.

i remember when reviews were in written language and you could read entire thing in one sitting on a toilet

Game reviews nowadays are full of nonsensical ramblings to make the video longer and to seem more intellectual

Those too, even though i dont read while taking a shit

The exact zeptosecond I hear a foid's voice in any gaming-related video, I switch off of it.
