It seems to me that humans naturally want to put each other down, but they always need find some sort of excuse to do so. For instance it somehow becomes completely fine to bully you for being lonely or having mental issues if it's known that you're incel. Even as children, the excuse is still present, it's just something as primitive as the target being ugly, or not knowing how to socialize properly. Bullies always come up with a reason why you deserve to be the target of abuse.

This is accentuated in the case of complete social pariahs like pedophiles. If you want to know what people really think of ugly men, look at the comments about videos of 'pedo hunters'. It somehow becomes totally alright to mock the appearance of people who you believe are otherwise malicious, regardless of whether or not it's true, that's besides my point. I've even seen the same behavior on this forum. People don't shame other users for their looks, but seem totally willing to do so if they believe that the target is somehow against them, like in the case of bluepilled incels. I'm even guilty of this myself, tbh I don't think that I'm any better than my bullies, just more unlucky. It's observations like this which contribute to my misanthropy.

When I was really young I used to wonder if I might not empathize as well as other people. It didn't occur to me at the time that most people are simply dishonest and selective about who becomes 'worthy' of being understood. Really it's all just bullshit, humans prey upon whomever is incapable of fighting back and tell themselves that they're 'good people' for doing so.

I've had this happen to me in middle school as well. At first, they are nice, but then they start to gauge the reactions of their peers toward me. If enough other people are mean to me, then they switch sides to be in the popular majority. Then it becomes a social strategy to bully the person who is already being bullied, like a foid's preselection. They become united in their hate and strengthen their friendships, while leaving the bullied one in the lurch.
