I was fishing with my uncle and we sailed past the beach and could see people moving from far away. I couldn't make out features very well just the distinct human form moseying down the shore. They looked like little stick figures under the sun, just black skeletons shuffling around. The single men walked with a slouch and faced the ground, the couples walking together faced forward and had straight posture. Even if I couldn't see the face, I felt I knew everything about them, I just had to watch their movements. The children following their father, the middle aged women who stood around chatting with each other with their hand on their hip and the other side popped up. The old man following behind his old wife slowly, he did not look like he was having a good time.

This sort of thing is why I don't enjoy going outside, we are too perceptive, I see the way I move in the mirror and it just screams reject. It's not even about posture completely, the slow and awkward movements, the lack of energy, everyone can see the soul of a fellow human being, just by their movements.

Status is often a direct consequence of looks
