Discussion you are god, now what?

I was reading this manga called Platinum End (by the same duo that did Death Note). It’s somewhat similar to Mirai Nikki in that a competition takes place to choose a god, with the difference being that this comic centers more on thought and has more of an expectation that the winner have justification for being chosen and act outside their own selfish desires.

If you were in such a competition, would you try to win? How would you argue that you should become god, and what would you do upon appointment (assuming you are omnipotent and omniscient)?
