Did you regret it or not? Does one truly have more opportunity to the degree that you would be able to look after yourself and move out?

How old are you bro?
I am in the second year in college, and I feel I will be lost after graduation

Did you regret it
Yes

No college is a scam that burdens you with debt and valuable lost time doing useless busy work rather than actual practical learning. Universities have done a profound amount of marketing and aura farming to convince ignorant parents and their children that sending them away to be stuck in lecture halls for 4 to 6 years is a good thing. Real learning and education cannot be imparted passively through lectures and assignments.

No, education is not so cheap that you can just earn it with money. Real education requires constant iterations of critical thinking, observation, experimentation, and failure. You have to suffer and struggle to figure things out. You have to spend time in confusion and dissonance while trying to figure things out. That's when you get real insights and applicable knowledge. This requires significant amount of unstructured time. Classrooms and lecture halls can't pass this onto students because the window of time for each topic is quite narrow.

College is sooooo important in 3rd world shitholes and a way to move move to a developed country legally

“don’t go to college bro just start a business or work a trade” - said exclusively by scammers or people who got scammers by said scammers

unless you can be NEET college is the best option

I did my university studies in the 1st world and I've come to realize that while the quality of educaiton is better in the West, the education system everywhere is still a massive failure.

I regret not dropping out high school when I was 16.

Starting a business, especially right now, is the hardest option to make money right now. And that requires experience in the market and connections if you're releasing a product. Regular businesses close down all the time.

I heard trades are starting to become oversaturated but who knows. They pay well but you will be doing manual work. Plenty of people are still going to college despite the high costs.

College is a good option if you can complete your degree (assuming it's in demand in the job market).

Idk, I guess it was worth it because my job is not at risk of being taken by AI yet but outsourcing potentially. But I force myself to work in this career because I don’t know where else to go, I think I would like to be a therapist but can you be one when you have mental issues yourself? The money is good I guess that’s about it, it’s stressful.

I'm studying CS, but I'll probably end up becoming NEET in the end
