Gaming Xbox series x or PS5?

I think I'll get into gaming again to cope better with the cold days and long winter nights.

I had a PS4 a few years ago but got bored of it, I had the first PlayStation [yes I'm old] and the PS3 too.

I think I'll enjoy xbox more for the games now and like the controller better too.

Which would you get and why?

Yeh, I felt I'd grown out of it but the more powerful hardware will be better now for gaming on my 4k TV and be a good distraction from boredom.

I really feel like getting a higher end gaming laptop instead though [no free space for a big tower, keyboard, mouse, monitor] I could torrent games and use steam so it could work out better value over time. Plus I only have my phone and tablet to access the net now.

Same, I had the nes in early 90s, it broke quickly. My brothers and I used to sell sunflower seeds on the street to rent Sega mega drive 2, we bought ps1 in early 2000s and ps2 in 2005. Now games can't pull me in like in ps1/2 era.

PS5 is the only console worth owning IMO. Having an Xbox doesn't seem worth it when all the exclusives are on PC too.
