"Autism is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by difficulties with social interaction and communication, and by restricted and repetitive behavior." -Wikipedia
Adult males living on the spectrum face many challenges in life, one of which is dating (shocker). Studies suggest that up to 80% of adult males with autism struggle with getting a girlfriend, much less maintaining a relationship. Most researchers pretend they don't know the reason behind this phenomenon but for us I think it's pretty obvious (socials skills, looks, etc).
Many struggle with sensory issues and have adverse reactions to things such as touch, sex, etc. Some are also unsocial to the point of being borderline schizoid so for some they simply don't care. But for those of us who are functional enough to want a female partner, it can be a living hell.
I was once a member on an online forum named Wrongplanet, a site which is a safe haven for those on the spectrum. I left the site just because the place is a left-wing echo chamber. They have a user there named Mr. Reynholm who is basically the token conservative. As you can imagine, he's been falsely accused of racism several times.
Anyway, while I was there I often found myself lurking in the Love And Dating section. Unsurprisingly, it is just filled with "I'm 27 And Can't Get A Girlfriend" or "Why Don't Women Want To Date Me." Usually these are greeted by foids saying women aren't objects to be acquired (not knowing the phrase "get a girlfriend" isn't supposed to be taken literally, nice). But this wasn't really surprising. Not being mean but it's pretty common for people on the spectrum to not be that appealing physically wise. Top that with unbelievably bad social skills and you have a recipe for disaster. It really is that hard for some of us.
It's over, literally.
