'Free' public healthcare, like the UK's NHS.

The NHS makes you wait 4 hours with a broken leg in the reception, it’s a dogshit system.
Probably better than the US’ but piss vs shit.

A mixed public-private model similar to Australia is ideal

if it worked properly yeah, i dont like the idea of paying for stuff and im basically a neet without much disposable income

I'd be inclined to agree, smokers and obese people are an unfair strain of the NHS for example.

Though if taxes are raised on the ultra-wealthy and lowered on the middle/working class, I suppose this wouldn't be as prevalent of an issue.

But ultra wealthy are very good at avoiding taxes so it's pretty difficult to just raise taxes on the top 0.1%

Asset taxes wouldn't be a bad shout, innit?

Yeah not a bad idea, I think capital gains tax have to be raised significantly

I agree. The issue with that is that much of the wealthy evade capital gains taxes thorough the 'Buy, borrow , die' strategy. Significant tax reforms would be in order but this will never happen as it conflicts with the interests of lawmakers.

Good idea in theory, but many Scandinavian billionaires (rich get taxed to hell in Scandinavia) have left.
