I was thinking about this the other day when I was hanging out with a friend of mine. This guy is proper normie tier; he's white, 5'10", he has a decent face. He's also quite intelligent, doing a degree in both engineering and in mathematics. Also not that bad of a personality. I would say he's upper-tier normie, though not Chad. He's insanely blue-pilled as well.
Not sure how we got to this conversation, but I was hanging out with him and another close friend of his. He went on to explain some of the relationships he had in University, and holy shit do I feel bad for this guy. Every single girl he has been with has cheated on him.
Girl 1: Met at first year University, dated for three years. He really liked this girl, he wanted to marry her. His girlfriend lived in an apartment with him at his University, and he went home for the Winter to his hometown. He was gonna surprise her with a proposal, he drove to the University town where his girlfriend was living in his apartment. He goes in and sees her in bed with another guy. Seriously crushed him. He said that getting rejected was one thing, but having a girl that you have been dating and trying to connect with for years, thinking that something is there, only to find out that she didn't care and she was seeing someone behind his back was the most demoralizing this he has ever experienced. He almost wanted to suicide from that.
He's currently dating a girl who basically controls him by the balls. She strictly wants an open relationship, and he complied because he likes her (JFL), he said he didn't want to talk about it further but he also likes her.
I also knew another guy who returned to his dorm to find his girlfriend of one year being gang-banged by two guys, that scarred him terribly, dude had to go to a psych ward for a while because he was threatening to kill himself.
These guys would literally have been better off if they saw an escort every once in a while. They would have had sex all the same, with someone who cares about them the same way their girlfriends did (not a lot).
As much as it pains me that I never got any female attention in my life, I am somewhat grateful that I never had to be put in situations like this. Because girls don't care about dating me, it never gets to a point where I care about a girl so much that she has any amount of power on me. I have been hurt by some of the rejections I have gotten over the years, but even those pale in comparison to seeing somebody you love betray you in such a manner.
An escort might not compare to having a girlfriend, but an escort also can't harm you the same way a girlfriend can.
I really think that more guys are screwed than you think. We don't know what goes on behind closed doors. Many guys that appear to have loving girlfriends are literally one step above inceldom, or they lose their dignity and self-respect dating a woman. It seems that only a real Chad can get the loyalty, love and affection of a woman. Every man is a utility at best, with some formal titles like boyfriend or husband.
I don't know where I'm going with this, and it seems like I'm coping, but I'm grateful that the worst I had to experience was a couple of no's and some money spent on escorts. I don't know what would have happened to me if I were bluepilled, lucked out and got a girlfriend, and she eventually cheated on me.
