What is the status of the US and Europe?

Life would have been the same, with the same pros and cons. For people in Eastern Europe, it would have been worse. Poland was poorer under communism than Soviet Ukraine was in 1991, but it is now a prosperous country. I wouldn't want a world where the Eastern Bloc exists, as life was hell in communist Romania. Only the German Democratic Republic and Czechoslovakia had a decent life under communism.

So, if you're Eastern European, it would be bad. If you're from Western Europe or the United States, you wouldn't care. If you're from the Soviet Union, you wouldn't care either.

It depends.

If USSR still existed, it would be like if China and Russia had their power/roles swapped today.

It depends, if USSR won, it's only because of the economic transformation.
With this, we would live in Cyberpunkised world, where authoritarity with corporatoracy cooperates to exploit people.
