I think I would, if the kid turn out to be ugly as me I would pay every maxx possible to make him look better, applying some methods and surgery's in a young age would definitely help him at least have a normal life.

my genes are fine (my family is perfectly average looks-wise, but almost everyone lives very long (a few relatives lived 100+ years) and we don't really have any chronic or genetic illnesses unless you count "being prone to addiction" as an illness), it's more of a general antinatalist issue: is having kids ever a good idea? I don't think existence has a point and life always means some suffering, so it doesn't make much sense to make babies, BUT on the other hand it's extremely unlikely that humans will just stop reproducing and I genuinely think my genes could improve the gene pool (health-wise) which could reduce some potential suffering (if only chronically-ill chads reproduce, future humans will suffer more)
