Discussion Would you be fine with being a virgin if it was not so stigmatized?

The most common complaint and struggle I have as a virgin is the stigma of it all. Men look at you as less than, women think you're weird, your dumbass parents act as if it's your fault or that you're a homosexual and so on. It is clear to me that the primary issue of virginity in old age (17+) is the negative stereotypes around it. But let's say it was not really seen as an issue or if it were praised. Would you mind being a virgin then?

I don’t know man I just want to feel loved. I do think being a virgin is at least better than being a chad though in the moral sense but I still need love. It sucks because we aren’t virgin by choice that’s the issue.

I would not be "fine" with it, but it would certainly be more tolerable and my life would be better and more livable.

But the thing is, I'd still be left alone. I might not get mocked for being a virgin, but I'd still be stuck being a subhuman and treated accordingly.

This has been made more obvious as I've gotten older and "cared less." What was once a maelstrom of confusion and perception has cleared, and I am faced with the stark reality that it wasn't really about how I felt, it was about what I was.
