The graphic novel itself is OK, but the artwork is the major reason why though.

For me, this one scene from Arkham asylum: serious house on serious earth did when I read it back when I was 17. I knew someone who owned a copy of it and he let me borrow it. In this scene, Amadeus Arkham returns home to find his wife and young daughter raped and murdered by a serial killer...

I think one character came out of a box like one of those jack-in-the-box clowns. I especially remember a rabbit. And it also sort of rings a bell that they somehow changed shape, but their eyes stayed the same.
