Worse. People would judge you way more. Inceldom is more common now. Being single at a younger age is more normalized now etc.

Correct. There are also far more and better copes now

Easier to get a wife and a decent paying job back then. Now the competion for decent paying jobs and women are so much worse now

you would be able to get a wife back then.

An incel willing to work an average 9-5 job could get a wife and a house back then (so he wouldn't be incel).

The 50s were only better because it was more unlikely to be incel. At least that was one reason.

If you are an incel loser in the 50s too, then it's worse obviously.

Better

First of all, I'm not going to sit here and state that the 50s were this magical time like in 'Leave it to Beaver'. I'm aware there were problems in that decade, but I still hold my guns and will say that overall, it was better.

  • Women were more realistic in their standards; if you 1) had stable source of income and 2) were not handicapped or disfigured....you, as a man could find someone. You didn't have to have the six sixes (6 ft tall, 6 figure income, 6 abs), nor have to understand feminine psychology to a PhD level
  • As there were fewer fail-safes in society for women (i.e. no birth control pills, no no-fault divorce, illegal abortion), they avoided the exciting bad boys and betas were viewed as a better option, because getting pumped and dumped was a major fuck up and embarrassment. Only broken women paired up with wild fast-life type guys
  • Single motherhood was looked down on, so, unless a husband was repeatedly and dangerously violent to her, divorce was a last resort, especially if kids were in the picture
  • Women, especially young & single ones, welcomed stares, and even the occasional grope, believe it or not. The women that started to protest against this behavior were the ones that didn't get attention --- yup, what I'm saying is that anti-harassment had its roots in envy

Worse. Back then even short guys were able to get women and my family is testemonial of that. Also women were looked down upon when they were hoes, nowadays there are celebrated.

Another reason is that back then your only competition was your own city. Nowadays you are competing against the whole world
