I've began a new job and I'm quickly realising how rude some of the staff are with me. Its all female except me, some have been considerate to me but some speak down to me and are very abrupt with me.
Whilst they're showing me the ropes on the computer, they're basically getting impatient with me, speaking harshly to me at every moment of hesitance and wrong move I'm making. They don't speak to me unless speaking harshly to me in a very abrupt tone. Then there's the awkward silence if I pass them by soon after. Every environment I've felt like this from some people, probably because I'm very shy, timid and introverted. As a short man I'm not given the same respect. It doesn't help my anxiety when someone is so strict with me, they should understand I'm new and learning. At 1 point I was shaking holding back the tears but I didn't want to show them any visible emotion.
I've never fitted in anywhere, it feels everyone is above me in some way, better than me. I have some skills of my own as my past has shown me to be a good worker but people treat you how they perceive you in life. I'm sure many of you can relate to this maybe in your own working life, this life is fucked for guys like us
