In a lot of cases, they ghost the man after he takes her on a date and pays for dinner. She then goes home and laughs with her friends about how she got a free meal. Today's technology has made it all too easy for a person to just vanish.

Women should be sent to jail for ghosting. Either that or pay a fee to the man they ghosted for wasting his time. Simple as that.
