It tells us that men are held much more accountable than women. It's expected much more composure and seriousness from males and this in every context. This is the proof women are still viewed as kids despite the battles of early feminism. And you don't mock a kid for acting silly, you do this to adults. It's the ingrained perceptions of women as incomplete lesser beings that give them the power to get away with things which would be considered social suicides and wouldn't get forgiven.
And yet zero feminist denounces this. Why? Either it's too convenient having this "special kids pass" or they are too stupid to realize that until women aren't shamed exactly as if they were men they will always be seen as cattle, property.
