Anyway, because society coddles them all the time they think they are the greatest and can be even bigger leeches. They only care about themselves and what their owner can provide them and yet they are loved by everyone. No wonder they often have many cats, they can see themselves in them.

They don't, I have two small dogs and they are quite calm. Barking is usually means they are bored, scared or are just badly trained most dog owners neglect their dogs which is why you see so many bad behaviours in dogs.

Their intelligence is very different between each breed and each individual dog. Some are really stupid but those are usually the really inbred ones. But if you get a more normal breed or crossbreed you'll find that their intelligence is quite astonishing.
