Yes and no. It doesn’t mean she doesn’t care about the man, it just means that her emotional attachment to the man bears little to no influence in her decision to leave him for an “upgrade.” Women process love differently than men. Women who cheated on me always told me they loved me, before and after they cheated. Women who’ve cheated on their boyfriends WITH me always tell ME that they love their boyfriends, even while they were dreaming about leaving those boyfriends for me. If a woman is dating you long term, she definitely loves you; but she processes love differently than a man does. For a woman, love doesn’t mean she has to stay with you or be faithful to you. It simply means that she has an emotional attachment to you. But in a woman’s mind, having an emotional attachment to a man doesn’t mean that he is the man who she deems worthy of carrying his children into the next generation. It SIMPLY means that she has an emotional attachment—nothing more, nothing less.
A man is different: when a man loves a woman, he’s willing to bend over backwards to provide and protect and care for her. For a man, love and commitment go hand in hand. He would never leave or divorce the woman that he loves. Even if he were to cheat on her in a moment of weakness, it doesn’t mean that he wants to leave or her or that he loves her any less; it simply means that he has a high libido and received an offer and he wasn’t disciplined enough to turn down that offer.
Women cheating is different: it is her biological impulses telling her that the man she is cheating with has better genetic potential than her current partner. She may not leave her current partner, and she would probably use protection to ensure she doesn’t get pregnant from her lover; but the act of a woman cheating is an admission that the man she is cheating with is, in her perception, a better genetic match for her than her current partner. For men this is not the case: a man’s act of cheating is simply an admission that he’s horny and he’ll have sex with anything lol.
