When I was in high school I actually had a lot of empathy for ugly women. Granted this was pre tinder, pre me too era in a conservative area, but still. anyone with two brain cells can notice that systemically sanctioned violence is more of a problem against ugly men than it is against ugly women, and that was the case at my high school as well, but physical bullying was so low in general that it didn't seem like a huge discrepancy.
