Man, 34, who impregnated his girlfriend's 10-year-old daughter is sentenced to over 100 years in prison
A 34-year-old man who impregnated his girlfriend's 10-year-old daughter after repeatedly raping her has been sentenced to 100 years in prison.
- Nicholas Deon Thrash, 34, was jailed on Thursday for 160 years
- He repeatedly molested his girlfriend's daughter
- In May 2017, just after her 11th birthday, the girl's mother discovered she was pregnant
- She was trying on dresses for a school formal when her mom saw her bump
- She told her to lie and say that a school friend had impregnated her
- The mother, who DailyMail.com is not naming in order not to reveal the victim's identity, now faces charges of neglect but is yet to appear in court
Nicholas Deon Thrash was sentenced to 160 years imprisonment on Thursday in Marion, Indianapolis.
He was found guilty of 10 counts of molestation against his girlfriend's daughter in August this year.
The mother is also facing charges for allegedly telling her daughter to lie and say a classmate had impregnated her when she discovered her growing bump as she tried on dresses for a school dance.
DailyMail.com has chosen not to name the mother in order to protect the identity of her daughter.
The child was 10 at the time and is now 12. She gave birth to a baby boy in September 2017.
Thrash lied throughout his trial that he did not impregnate her and claimed her mother artificially inseminated her own daughter with his sperm.
He was arrested after another member of the family discovered that the girl was five months pregnant.
Earlier this year, during his trial, the rapist had to be removed from court after shouting lies about the victim to the jury.
At one stage, the girl testified against him.
She clutched a stuffed animal to her chest as she told the jury how he had attacked her at least 15 times.
The girl's mother is yet to appear in court. She has been charged with neglect.
It remains unclear if she knew the abuse was happening at the time or if she only discovered it when she found out her daughter was pregnant.
