So Cleo Abram, who is a journalist for Vox Media, made a video where she has surgery to get her ovarian cysts removed which might impact her chance to bear children. She discusses the idea of artificial wombs and how she would like to have that option if she has her eggs saved and she loses her ability to become pregnant.
Many feminists argue that artificial wombs is a technology that can be a liberation for women. That it will relieve their burden of childbirth and will elevate the role of women away from just being child incubators for men, thus bringing true equality amongst the sexes.
Other feminists argue that artificial wombs will make the biological role that women have as irrelevant and women will be deemed obsolete. It will also take away the power women have over men and the privileges that come with being the child-bearer, as she will no longer be in control of sexual selection of the species and men no longer have to chase after women for procreation. Since women will no longer be needed, will it be the end of women and they will end up being killed off?
The discussion of artifical wombs is also important for us incels. Will artifical wombs be a blessing for all men since we will no longer need women and we will be truly free from the female? Or do you think that there will be an elite group of men who will deny access to the rest of men and only they get to reproduce?
But this video is important as it gives a woman's perspective on this technology. Which begs the question if feminist will see this as a blessing for them because they are free from their biological roles, or will they see it as a threat as it will make them obsolete and take away the power they have over men?
