The way in which normies talk is so jacked that it is hard to get a word in edgewise that would even get to an expression of self-respect for who I am. Usually I just listen to those around me chatter about sex and I just sit or stand there quietly for as long as I have to before I can figure out some way to leave the situation.

Point taken though that internally one should be more sure of oneself, less self-hating -- pointless spiral, all that.
