I wish I was born before all the real monks died. Just started getting into ram dass, neem karoli baba, and others I would have loved to see and experience in person.
I feel a whole legacy died with them and the authenticity of the practice has gone to shit with many old world monks passing. Now we have grifters and snakes selling obviously fake ideas and are only in it for the fame and profits.
To live as a true monk must have been awesome back in the day, to seek enlightenment with a teacher that can see through the bullshit of people and the world. To truly guide you on a journey of self understanding and true inner peace.
