It's simply too early to tell. Remember when Portugal won the euros without winning a single group match? Remember when Argentina lost to Saudi Arabia and went on to win the world cup? Weird stuff can happen in the group stage but I dont doubt it. They have a good chance of winning the euros. Arguably the strongest attack and defence in the tournament along with england. Their midfield also has world class players. Their squad is pretty much complete along with an experienced and talented manager.

This tournament is a bit different - many modern legends are aging into their mid 30's and 40's (Modric, CR7, Pepe, Kroos plans to retire).

For France to make it to the semifinals - that would mean that Portugal, Germany, or England were eliminated - that is a tough pill to swallow.
