Have you guys ever had experiences which you cannot explain? Brief spooky blog post.
My glass desk sometimes reflects sunlight in a specific way at a certain time of the day, projecting a nebulous light spot onto my ceiling. One day, a sizable orb of pure white light that seemed to be vibrating (it was moving very fast from side to side in a constant speed. It was not weak movement, it was well pronounced and perfectly constant) was projected along with the usual nebulous light, so I started casting a shadow with my finger and looking at the ceiling trying to find the source of this anomaly. It seemed like the orb was being caused by a glass of water that was resting on my table, but my curiosity was not yet satisfied as the orb had been vibrating at a constant speed for at least a few minutes now, so I kept staring at the ceiling and moving my finger around seeing if I could learn something else about this orb. After a few minutes of kneeling on the ground (for better access to my desk), staring at the ceiling, and waving my finger around like a dumbass, the shadow of what looked like a second finger suddenly started being projected just a few feet next to the shadow of my own finger. This finger slowly and steadily kept moving forward until the full shadow of this "finger" was projected, revealing that it was considerably longer than mine. By this point I had already proven that it wasn't a shadow being casted by me by moving my whole body and seeing that this foreign shadow was unaffected. It kept still for around 3-4 seconds and then it started retreating back into the shadow just as slowly as it had revealed itself.
I've thought about this experience for years and I cannot think of a conceivable explanation. The body casting the shadow of that finger needed to be standing a few feet behind me in order for the shadow to even appear in the ceiling. Needless to say, I was alone, I investigated my desk and everything close to it to see if I could find an object that could've cause the shadow, I exhausted all possible logical possibilities that came to mind, etc. Also, an object outside my window would've cast the shadow on the opposite side of where my finger was, but the source of this shadow needed to be inside the room with me, or more precisely, right behind me.
Makes me think.
