Why Were the Irish Always Treated as Subhuman?

The English dismantled their clans, crushed their laws, starved them during the Great Famine, and then spat on them when they reached America. You would think the Irish weren't even human, much less European. So what was their sin? What did they do to earn such hatred and contempt?

I thought you were gonna answer the question haha, so this is why I keep seeing Africans online defending Irish people and vice versa I guess they experienced the same thing from the English and still hate them to this day

It's all about relativity. I guess compared to the british, they were very primitive. So the uppity british felt superior to them. Nowadays the brits have degenerated and the irish have catched on to them, so there isn't that much of a difference.
