I think it's also that for them following such illogical views blindly actually benefits them. As long as they play along being politically correct and submissive to all authority they actually get something out of it. We on the other hand do not benefit from playing these social games. You can be PC and virtue signal all you want and it still won't get you a nice job and a family because you don't pass the looks threshold. So at some point our brain automatically turns away from it and starts looking at things more realistically and more individualistic.

It's basically about "belonging to the group". If you are excluded from the group even though you try to play by the same rules everyone else does, something in you changes.
