Why was everyone so shit at old cods

I started on bo2 but was really young and don’t remember much of it. But whenever I see clips of older cods now it looks like majority of the players are deaf playing with blindfolds on

Now compare this to the shit people are doing nowadays. Being good now takes a lot more than it did back then which is probably why older players shit on newer cods. They just can’t keep up

Its skill based matchmaking in newer games. It matches you in with people of simmiliar skill. But the way that it works is if you do bad it matches you with bad players who can barely hold the analog stick forward. But if you do too good it matches you with tryhards who will fuck you up

New CODs actually have a lower learning curve because of stronger aim assist. MW19 was the start of this movement bullshit and rotational aim assist abuse that made the average player think they're much better than they actually are

As someone who actually played bo2 when it came out I can say most players weren't like that. Assuming that clip is actually from the time of launch I'm going to assume he was just killing charismas noobs or set up a private lobby just so he could get a clip to post to jewtube or whatever. (something people where known to pull back in the day)
