He is giving Russia too favorable terms, from enshrining Ukraine's refusal to join NATO in its constitution to introducing the Russian language and the Russian Orthodox Church there. Objectively, Russia has not earned such luxurious terms in a peace treaty. The only thing Russia has the right to do is to retain the territories it has physically conquered.
