Tiktok ruins everything. Looksmaxxing used to be a thing long before tiktok and it was generally about making the best out of your appearance with realistic approaches.

Tiktok turned it into some gay cult where you glaze male models and then make fun of ugly dudes. Tiktok created this trend of obsessing over appearance where people go on the fyp and just show off how good looking their face is, which gets views. Now people go do unecessary things like icing their face or using some other scam product in hopes to improve their face, these things barely make much of a difference and it’s mostly genetic. I do think tiktok contributed to female hypergamy in some way.
