why? because women make up more than 3/4 of the manga scanlators in this fucked up world of ours. They dictate what gets translated and ported into the West and what isn't. There's still a minority of otakus who somehow stick around and translate decent works but it's mostly women translating BL and cookie cutter shoujo romance and shit manga though, and I know it cuz I've been in the space for long enough to be completely disgusted at its state. Literal colonization and ethnic replacement inside the space. Yuri is (rightfully) looked down upon because of the shippers and the brainrot that comes out of yuritards in game/anime communities. I believe interest in Yuri has also somewhat died down in recent years, prolly again cuz of feminists being scanlators generally and not doing much of ecchi or yuri because it "objectifies women" or something, unless they are late-stage gooners. Save your soul and don't read anything scanlated in recent years, ideally learn japanese so you can go straight at the source.

Because a large majority women are obnoxious children with little to no social awareness who also happen to be considered in the same distinct category as homosexuals where they are both seen as "victims".
