I used to post on looksmax back when the forum was first created. I was a mod there too but not very active. It was a decent forum for a little while but then users from lookism started coming in droves and gentrified it to the point where it became unusable for anyone who wasn't an autistic teenager from lookism.
One of the biggest issues with the "looksmaxxing community" is the sheer amount of broscience that gets aggressively shilled for and goes largely unchecked. They fall for every retarded broscience meme under the sun. Mewing, nofap, carnivore (and now raw meat carnivore thanks to goatis and his dick riders). I see threads on .org shilling for shit that's so retarded I genuinely can't tell if it's contrarianism for contrarianism's sake, ragebait, or ironic. Regardless, it often ends with people agreeing and shilling for it sincerely. It's like the blind leading the blind.
And now you also have a lot of grifters due to looksmaxxing going mainstream and blowing up on tiktok. Guys who got surgery (and weren't even bad looking to begin with, they just use a really unflattering "before" pic) and lie and claim to have gotten their results "naturally" so they can sell useless e-books, courses, and/or supplements. It's basically the red pill 2.0.
