It's real if you're still going through puberty, or if you're a young adult with rich parents and no job/responsibilities and can spend hundreds of thousands on surgeries and put up with months of recovery time. It also still might not work or might get you even more botched if anything fucks up, or give you lifelong health complications, etc. And of course, you still have to have a somewhat ok base for any of this to be true.
