Since the toronto attack and media is basically getting us, I was wondering why has the group anonymous even bothered to try to get us since they are mostly a self righteous group. Since they are brigaders and raiders.

4chan raids (2003–2007)

The name Anonymous itself is inspired by the perceived anonymity under which users post images and comments on the Internet. Usage of the term Anonymous in the sense of a shared identity began on imageboards, particularly the /b/ board of 4chan, dedicated to random content. A tag of Anonymous is assigned to visitors who leave comments without identifying the originator of the posted content. Users of imageboards sometimes jokingly acted as if Anonymous was a single individual. The concept of the Anonymous entity advanced in 2004 when an administrator on the 4chan image board activated a "Forced_Anon" protocol that signed all posts as Anonymous.[29] As the popularity of imageboards increased, the idea of Anonymous as a collective of unnamed individuals became an Internet meme.[30]

Users of 4chan's /b/ board would occasionally join into mass pranks or raids. In a raid on July 12, 2006, for example, large numbers of 4chan readers invaded the Finnish social networking site Habbo Hotel with identical avatars; the avatars blocked regular Habbo members from accessing the digital hotel's pool, stating it was "closed due to fail and AIDS".[31] Future LulzSec member Topiary became involved with the site at this time, inviting large audiences to listen to his prank phone calls via Skype.[32][a] Due to the growing traffic on 4chan's boards, users soon began to plot pranks offline using Internet Relay Chat (IRC).[34] These raids resulted in the first mainstream press story on Anonymous, a report by Fox station KTTV in Los Angeles, California in the U.S. The report called the group "hackers on steroids", "domestic terrorists", and an "Internet hate machine"

since we are pretty much labeled as a terrorist community.

Well don't give them any ideas!!!

anonymous hasnt been relevant in years tbh.

Anonymous was 4chan more or less. And 4chan is full of incels. Not sure what you'd expect.

Anonymous doesn't really exist. Anyone can spread memes claiming to be in this loose group.

I was always kinda hoping that some of the more talented of the variety had an inclination to agree with most of the concepts here and would more or less act in defense of them.

i hopE they do fuck us over / so i have a Reason

I feel liked most hacker groups have disappeared or moved on to some sort of usenet/tor based environment. The internet really isn't the wild west anymore, there was a time when you could go on 4chan /b/ and there'd be shit tons of CP posted every night.

Those were them old days, the internet has gotten so mainstream in comparison.

I get this feeling that most of the old school hacker guys ate shit, maybe most of them eventually got locked up. I don't keep up with piracy/warez type stuff any more and I feel like nobody does because of things like Steam and Netflix.

The internet used to be a much, much more different place and there was a time when 4chan was literally the Mos Eisley of the internet.

Even encyclopedia dramatica is a dead shithole now. Times changed.

I wish I was around for those days.

Oh come on. It was always a bunch of socially withdrawn nerds shitposting 24/7 and running stupid raids like Habbo.

Don't know what it's like now but it was never badass.

Those guys are probably incel too. What kind of sane human being spends his life behind a computer screen hacking people he doesn't like!? Chad and Stacey are too busy enjoying their lives to worry about what someone else is doing.

5-10 years ago, we'd definitely be getting attacked. The Internets is different now. It's normieland.

It's incredible how different it was 20 years ago when I first came online... I'd do anything for the 1999-2003 golden era to return.

Anon isn't really a group. It's more of a meme. But yeah it's died down alot. Some of the most skilled members got arrested too.

At least we're using cloudflare. Makes it much more difficult to ddos the site if implemented properly.

Well...

1.) /b/ and 4chan kind of died a few years ago. Jesse Slaughter was one of its last big hits. It's just infested with normies and porn-spammers now.

2.) Many that browsed /b/ regularly and participated in raids and what not were incels themselves. Some of them came here. Some finally got laid by whales and settled into cucked relationships.

Oldcels know what I'm talking about.

I'm not an oldcel but I know exactly what you're talking about. I browsed 4chan and went on it for 10 years until stopping last year. It's been a fucking cesspool since 2013.

They would not attack their brothers.

I figure the main players at the time either got older and moved on with life, got arrested, or are incel as well. Also, i think one of the big philosophy behind anon was freedom of speech.

We are anonymous. Haven't you ever heard of R9K?

anonymous which was probably only by 5 guys that knew how to do something most likely got bored.

Also 4chan has always been contrarian. In an age of casual sex and hook up culture supporting incels is edgy and funny for them.

All of the OG posters left the 4chan in 2014 after Moot's betrayal, and it's basically been an anonymous version of cuckit ever since, with the electionposters being the final nail in the coffin.
8chan was POPPIN from 2014-2016, but it's basically dead now, especially since /baph/ got infiltrated by feds and forced their mod into beoming a fugitive.
All of the original anonymous members who actually had talent are either locked up or are keeping a low profile.

Half of anonymous are fat incels anyway.

Because they're Incels themselves lol

I guess the founders of the group lost interest in hacking/ got killed so now the group only consists of script kiddies and conspiracy theorists.

I really think that in 5 or 10 years incel websites will be considered just like torrent sites. Hosting and domain providers will be forced to shut down them.

anonymous would be on our side if anything

anonymous probably understands the hell of being incel

Anonymous has been a complete joke ever since project chanology which was back in 2008. That was when the cringy moralfags and SJWs hijacked the whole thing.

Now it's a shadow of what it used to be and their "operations" have included shutting down a fraternity website and doxxing facebook users who make "misogynistic" posts.

I kinda thought this was the case. Crazy. All I would hear on the news years ago, almost on a consistent basis, was how Anonymous was attacking different sites and all that. Idk why they didnt think that sooner or later going after these top tier companies that maybe ya know, theyd get caught?

And to everyones point about 4Chan, yeah theres really no words left. Man, internets really becoming somethin now a days..

The hackers and incels and ion cannoners flew too close to the sun, a couple made a run at trying to take over sensitive shit, ie nukes... and the government lost their mind and went on the hyper offensive.

Got any more info on this?

Because 90% of Anonymous are members on this site.
