Playing basketball doesn't make you taller. IT JUST SO HAPPENS the people tend to be pretty damn tall because being tall is a huge advantage. For example you can dunk.

Basketball is most popular in five countries: the Philippines, Lithuania, Puerto Rico, Marshall Islands, and the Bahamas.

How many of those countries have tall people again?

Meanwhile in places like Netherlands or the Balkans where people are genuinely tall, the most popular sport there is soccer. Basketball isn't even close!

Truth is height is mostly genetics and maybe the environment you live in (such as what kind of food you eat etc)
