To many of them, it is a fundamental and natural instinct to turn to deception and lies about these topics, for they are unwilling to accept their own superficial behavior, as that would taint their delusional notion of the benevolent female nature; it's easier to simply deny reality than to look at it for what it is.
They also love to take credit for the success of their genetics, hence, admitting most of life's success is determined by intrinsic characteristics would undermine their meritocratic view of the world — and that would lead to diminished value of their success, as it implies they are essentially not the ones responsible for it. In their eyes, however, it must be the result of their own good and hard work, and everyone who fails must be a bad person who deserves the suffering he endures.
And, obviously, they also rely on deception and lies in order to keep most men subservient slaves that purposelessly contribute to society, while chasing a carrot on a stick; if the men knew it was all a sham, no one would want to engage with it in the first place; women require their simps, and they must ensure more men will remain clueless slaves. More men who are aware of their vile and selfish nature is problematic for them.
