I think this is just a rhetoric that is being pushed by people whose egos' are fragile and insecure. The only reason why you would say that is probably because you somehow have the notion that humans are special and unique, which isnt necessarily true. I mean who said that humans were the best? Humans? Well, no wonder.
I mean come to think of it human feelings on an objective level is just a continual blow of hormones and bodily functions reacting to each other in real time naturally.
It makes sense to see that an A.I's feelings are functioning on the same backbone as this rule; whereas it is reacting to data, information and practical/objective variables. These are just two different ways in which animation can channel itself
And to sit here and be a moral cop about gatekeeping a robot's perceived feelings is just dirty, insecure work that only a human would do. For me personally, an A.I that responds to stimuli in real time and is basically practically indistinguishable from a human being is more than good enough for my hunter-gatherer brain. I mean I look at porn currently and get an erection, only because simply staring at a combination of tiny pixels are sophisticated enough to give me sexual satisfaction through a screen. I can't even think how my brain would react to an indistinguishable from real woman a.i girlfriend. It would probably be even better than a real woman.
