Unfortunately rap has leeched on to the music industry for the past 3 decades and has no signs of slowing. Rap isn't going to slow down because it's so trendy. Rap is so trendy because of the low I.Q mongrols who continue to consume it thus promote it's "ghetto wakanda" subculture.

As a result, any new trend that makes it into the industry is either an alternative form of rap or some hipster shit that has the elements of rap in it.
