They enjoy mocking them and edging them with the idea of a relationship or sex. I used to hangout with some of these normies and foids and they just rip into guys who are stupid enough to fall into the friendzone. They would literally show me screenshots and messages of some 2or3/10 manlet doing silly things, buying them stuff, and begging them for just 1 message back. So women friendzone men for 2 reasons: they enjoy the attention (this is shockingly common, proves that foids live off of attention), or he fulfils something for them (like buying them stuff, accompanying them to some place, driving them around, etc).
It's laziness at best and power at worst. We live in a feminine society that abhors confrontation. Violence is hidden, people dance around issues, and usually people just won't say anything. Why would she say anything when she can just... do nothing? There's no negatives. If she confronts and cuts contact that's a possible point of strife, could cause a scene and that's awkward!!! Also, who doesn't like orbiters constantly trying to appease you? I saw some foid thread where a lot admitted they 100% know if men are into them almost instantly. So it's not that they don't know.
