When men marry they think their w*man won't change, she changes drastically, she is in control. You basically are bribing her with various physiological needs like: drink, food, shelter, protection, clothing, transportation for legalized pussy (marriage is legalized prostitution).

I only see few reasons:
Social validation in workplace (i had experienced shaming from married men during my studying days, they compare themselves to gods, just because they managed to get married);
