Why do they say Luffy never kills people? He keeps sinking marine and pirate ships

Do One Piece fans really believe that after a ship is sunk all the people are magically teleported to a safe place or that all of them make it to the lifeboats and then go home? Tho we could say "ackhyually it was the sea who killed them, not Luffy" kek

Read the manga the pacing is so much better without filler, repeated dialogue and recaps. The art is still kinda rough but much better than the anime

I dropped the anime in 2016 but I'm up to date with the manga.
