I’ve noticed a pattern in “ace” men I’ve dated who ended up not being ace after all because in reality they wanted sex but just didn’t have access to it. To me, it feels like the label “asexual” for them is being used less as a genuine identity and more as a way to rationalize or cope with the fact that women aren’t showing interest in them sexually.
