Various reasons, but I like it because it's media I can actually watch without getting upset, can't say the same about western tv or movies.

Anime has more variety, because it removes human limits and also because its often less cucked, no disney cancer or hollywood sjwism

Anime (or manga or novels) is good for escapism and where women really CARED for PERSONALITY, but some anime are blackpilled like Naruto got cucked hard by Sasuke.

Idk why people hate on anime because it"s a "cope". If you watch them for romance fantasies maybe but who does that. My favourite anime is Hunter X Hunter and it has zero sexual stuff in it, there is also not a clear good vs bad side like in those childish super heroes movies.
Ye Naruto is blackpilled af, literally every foid in it is in love with sasuke because of his innate attributes and arrogant/evil attitude, while desperate and tryharding people like Naruto is just hated by every foid he admires.

Because anime has unique and intersting settings and characters, it's more creative because you can do whatever you want with your stories because you don't relie on reality unlike western shit where everything has to be realistic
Not into Anime but I love Dragonball. I can really recommend it it's my favorite show ever. It has like 600 episodes alltogether + movies so it is a good cope.
The first serie of Dragon Ball is very underrated.
I prefer it to DBZ and all the rest.
