I have a colleague at work with kids and he constantly acts like he is so busy and so important because he has kids. He even brings his child to the office its so annoying. The other colleague with no kids is chill guy.

People with kids have big egos because their genetics made it to another generation.
Maybe it's for him to show that he managed to reproduce his offspring, and as a man he tends to be respected by other idiots, as he is seen as a self-sacrificing “provider”, and he should like that like a good slave.

Foids often reduce or even refuse sex after giving birth, so their husbands are more likely to be frustrated
Having children is a big responsibility & sacrifice. Makes sense why they think they are important.
