I started thinking about this once I found out about the wifiskeleton thing. If you don't know, some hyperpop artist named wifiskeleton presumably killed himself and now everyone on tiktok is glazing his music and mourning his loss and shit. And while he may rest in peace, it made me think about things;
People will not care about the shit you make until you die.
Couldn't all that attention have come sooner? No. Because your death is the reason you're this popular now to begin with.
The chance for that to happen is not even that high. Some people are just lucky.
And if you didn't contribute anything to the world? No one will ever care. Your personal interests for example would never make the rounds. No one will ever think "oh this guy was so talented, so sad that he left us so soon" because you never did anything other than sitting in front of that computer and rotting.

I thought that maybe after I kill myself, people will start to recognize and care about my existence. But I never put myself out there. And people will definitely not celebrate the fact I was on here. I guess dying alone just naturally comes with being an incel

They only pretend to care for a while if you’re lucky enough and then you’re completely forgotten for eternity.

Why do people only start to care when you die

It's like when a guy gets a girlfriend and now all the women are looking for him, they want someone when he is no longer available. :bigbrain:

I believe the word for it is virtue signaling

Even then, they don't actually care. They just want it to look like they do.

Virtue Signaling.

Expecting people to care about anything beyond themselves may cause disappointment.

didn't read but i'll answer the title

people DON'T care about you dying either, the brief moment of sadness is just social pressure

When people don’t care about when I die, the world will legit end

Dnr. But answering your question, because now they don't actually have to pretend they like you, or actually have to deal with you. You've become a mere statement to make in order to make themselves look better, "I wish I could have said something to him" as they ignored all your messages and excluded you from they're lives

maybe you should make some hyperpop then
