This is specific to zoomers, but most people here are gen z, so most of the people the average user here deals with in real life will also be zoomers.

As to why they're like this, we're talking about a generation of hyper-introverts that were terminally online at a very early age. They grew up with a lack of third places (like malls or arcades). They don't even like talking on the phone, they only like texting, and when they do their texts are basically like what OP described.

Ultimately it's just a lack of proper socialization. They talk in brainrot and memes everywhere including real life because that's all they know. They never properly developed verbal acuity or social skills.

Also worth noting that this site would be full of people posting like this if it weren't for the fact we weed them out in the registration process. In the "explain your situation" section, if someone writes something like "im chopped ahhh frfr bro", then into the trash it goes. If someone can't be bothered to (or is unable to) write one or two complete sentences in that section when signing up, I don't see why we should allow them. They'd only pollute the quality of the posts here.
